Following the loss of contract support in this area, CSI was contracted to review confined space entry requirements in the Tsunami warning and detection stations that operate under the control of Geoscience Australia. A simplified course was prepared around the specific pits that are similar in all locations (with only the depth that varies). A half day of theory on confined space entry is provided with a half day on the practical use of detection equipment, emergency evacuation and recovery techniques. This course can now be adapted for any specific and generic space.
