CSI conducted safety management systems audits using the Australian Standards on Safety Management Systems (AS/NZS 4804) and the auditing requirements for these systems (AS/NZS 4801), auditing paperwork and documentation and inspecting the workplace and conduction confirmatory interviews. CSI utilised a mapping pictogram that it has created which allows management to see where it needs to focus its attentions for continual improvement. This mapping has proved very popular by management who can read results using a stop-light system that prioritises their actions.
